Meet the team

This months featured team members are:

Amanda Campion, Technical Consultant

Amanda is a member of our Microsoft Technical Team. She is a graduate in Maths and Computer Science with experience of the complete life cycle of software development, technical user training, first line customer support, business and systems analysis, as well as pre and post sales technical consultancy. Before joining Mantix (now Atkins) she had been a technical consultant for Autonomy involving international travel to customer sites for support issues and to capture technical requirements. Amanda has worked with technologies including Autonomy Systems, web portals and object-oriented methods.

Jill Clancy, Key Account Manager / Service Line Leader

An accomplished Leader with extensive experience in business transformation, strategic development and implementation, change management and performance improvement with exceptional leadership skills to inspire and motivate at all levels. 

Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver simple and clear messages bringing complex concepts to life, experience of public speaking, media and seminars. An excellent negotiator with the ability to influence senior decision makers both internally and externally. A high degree of business awareness and a sound appreciation of best practice techniques particularly in the field of business transformation with the ability to act as an ambassador. 

An open minded, creative and forward thinking individual who has a passion for looking at innovative solutions and challenging current practise.

Mike Davies, BMS Manager

Michael Davies is an Engineer with considerable experience of implementing and managing Business Management Systems and sound commercial experience to ensure focus on profitability and efficiency. This includes experience in running an Accredited Certification Body for Quality, Safety and Environmental management systems and managing a number of business units as MD/General Manager. Michael was originally trained in Quality Assurance and Procurement, by the Ministry of Defence Procurement Executive and subsequently developed his career in General Management, this experience being developed through global manufacturers. He has held Board level positions with responsibility for the performance recovery of manufacturing and service companies. which includes 7 years as Managing Director for THD Sales Limited where he was responsible for the design, manufacturing, software development, service management and sales functions. Also 2 years as a General Manager in the audio visual industry.

Tim Fennell, Principal Consultant

With over ten years experience in the development and management of IT projects, Tim has first-hand experience of many different organisations in both the private and public sectors. He has a particular interest in the integration of Cascade with other IT systems as well as the business processes which it supports.

Tim has worked with a number of our clients, including assignments within the telecommunications and construction industries. Recently he was responsible for the initial set up of a user support help desk, and in charge of its initial operation.

Steve Godbold, Resource Manager

Steve Godbold is Head of Resourcing and responsible for supporting Managements Consultant’s forward growth strategy by designing and implementing our central resourcing function. He is a Management Consultant with over 30 years experience in the IT industry. He’s worked in both the public and private sector and has been responsible for development of IT strategies and strategic implementations.

Christopher Man, Consultant

Christopher Man is a client facing Business Analyst and holds a degree in Business Information Technology & Product Design and an MSc in Information Systems. Prior to joining Atkins, he worked for a Systems Integrator as an Information Analyst, and has particular experience in the finance, telecommunications, utilities and public sector. His key strengths are liaising with clients, identifying technology needs by gathering requirements, analysing their infrastructure and providing technical advice, as well as utilising UML to design underlying system requirements.

Steve Novis, Programme and Project Management ?OVER INCLUSION

Steve Novis is Head of the Programme Management - Infrastructure business with direct responsibility for P&L, business development and staff in 7 office locations across the UK, Scandinavia, France, Italy and Turkey. His experience includes leading major corporate initiatives and management of a number of bids to secure major projects for the company. These include bids to win commissions for the procurement of a new air traffic centre in Scotland, programme management of Railtrack projects and a significant PFI project for the strategic Transfer of Estates of the Inland Revenue and HM Customs and Excise to the Private Sector (STEPS). Steve also managed Atkins' supply chain input to support METRONET in which Atkins has an equity stake in the upgrade and maintenance of the London Underground. His experience includes the programme management of several major projects in the industrial building, transportation, petrochemical, air traffic control and communications sectors. This portfolio includes a major longterm pan European commission with Shell to provide project management and design services in connection with their petrol stations in 12 countries, including set up and management of various European Offices.

Trina Pulman, Managing Consultant

Trina specialises in IT, with a strong track record of successful project management and live service delivery, and is experienced in working on the interface between business and IT. She has worked in a variety of organisations and sectors, ranging from central government to financial services, including two start-ups. Recently Trina has implemented a business critical construction and change management project using PRINCE 2 methodology to deliver a centre of national importance for the NSPCC. This was successfully delivered within a fixed budget and challenging deadline. Trina is also a qualified accountant and auditor, and holds the ITIL foundation certificate.

Niraj Saraf, Principal Consultant

Niraj Saraf is a Principal Consultant with Atkins Management Consultants. He has 14 years of professional experience in the public, private and voluntary sectors, including 5 years of consultancy experience. Niraj has carried out a range of market assessment, strategic planning, business planning and project management assignments in the Civil Service, the City and for start-ups.

Recent projects have included assessing the markets for a new building material developed by a technology start-up, reviewing the sales winning function of a ground engineering company, the establishment of an environmental support service for businesses in London, the development of an information strategy for a new Government unit, and the development of strategy and a business plan for a new overseas property investment company.

His previous roles have seen him carrying out internal consulting projects as an MBA Associate with Credit Suisse, and covering a variety of high profile issues and projects as a “Fast-Streamer” within the UK Civil Service. Niraj has a BSc(Hons) in Chemistry, an MSc in Information Systems Engineering, and an MBA from Tanaka Business School.

Steve Thornton, Principal Consultant

Steve has over 15 years of project and programme management experience. He has managed the implementation of programme management processes and procedures as well as managing programme offices. He has designed, developed and delivered programme and project management training for clients in all sectors.

Steve Warner, Key Account Manager

Steve Warner is a Principal Consultant with Atkins Management Consultants. He has over 18 years experience within the defence sector, having worked within the Ministry of Defence predominantly providing consultancy and programme management within the areas of acquisition and education provision. Steve has experience of providing consultancy and facilitation at Board level as well as managing successful technical change programmes for project teams. He has also gained experience developing and delivering the management education programme for MoD’s most senior military and civilian personnel. Steve has extensive experience in green-field projects and ambiguous environments, including high security contexts. He is a proven team leader of diverse teams, skilled in building buy-in between technical and managerial audiences. He is an incisive and creative thinker with the ability to provide unique insights underpinned by analytical rigour. Steve has an MBA from Warwick Business School and an MA in Mathematics from Oxford.
