At this Breakfast Briefing Series we considered the realities of making change happen. Why is it that despite the emergence of yet more frameworks, methodologies, tools and techniques all intended to help organisations “manage” change, we still struggle with actually making it happen in the real world?
On Tuesday 12 June, we offered some approaches to implementing change that go beyond the “theory” and concentrated on getting the basics in place. Phil Quinn, Head of Learning and Development at the Learning and Skills Council talked about how his role as change agent has helped staff through the change process and now is instrumental in developing staff in the new structure and embedding new ways of working. Phil was joined by Huw Williams, Practice Director for Organisational Change and Development at Atkins, who shared his experiences on the critical success factors for making change stick.
The briefing ran from 8.00am to 10.00am (with
full English breakfast and lighter alternative,
served at the beginning of proceedings) at The Horticultural Halls Conference
Centre, Greycoat Street, London SW1P 2QD which is a five-minute stroll from
both St James’s Park and Pimlico tube stations.
