New MD for Management Consultants.
Effective 1 November 07 we are delighted to announce that Chris Birdsong has been appointed managing director of our Management Consultants business unit and will join the Group executive team.
Chris joined the Group in January 2007 to act as Atkins' shareholder representative director in the Metronet enterprise.
He brings significant senior expertise to a wide variety of areas that will assist in ensuring Management Consultants performs its current strategy to its fullest extent.
He worked for Bechtel for over 30 years, during which time he worked on major projects in heavy industry, transport and telecommunications. This included a period as managing director of Equinix, which provides telecommunication infrastructure in Europe and the USA.
Tom Abram will continue to support Chris in his new role.
